Thank you for your patronage! It is our privilege to have you visit our office. Your appointment is very important to us. We understand that your time is valuable and we ensure to allocate the appropriate amount of time for your appointment. In order to do so while at the same time best serving all of our patients, we have implemented our cancellation policy below. This policy is designed to benefit our patients and to provide them with the outstanding service they can expect at A E Skin. Adhering to this policy allows us to best focus on serving your needs.
If we have a cancellation on the schedule, we like to offer the time slot to a patient on our waiting list, or who is calling for a same day appointment. Without notice of cancellation we are unable to do this. When you do not show up for a scheduled appointment or fail to provide us with notice, other patients lose the opportunity to be seen by Dr. Alex and receive services they desire.
As a courtesy, we send a confirmation of your appointment via text message and e-mail approximately two calendar days before your appointment. Please ensure that you provide our staff with your correct contact information. If you schedule your appointment less than two days in advance, you may not receive these automated notifications.
Notice of Cancellation / Rescheduling
We do understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary. Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, kindly contact us via telephone or text message at (818) 835-1833 at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time. If you do not reach our staff, please leave a message and we will return your call at our first opportunity.
We understand that emergencies may come up requiring you to cancel your appointment. Regretfully, it has been our experience that most of the time missed appointments are not due to emergencies and we have unfortunately experienced an increase in missed appointments. Without notice of cancellation, other patients lose the opportunity to be seen by Dr. Alex and receive services they desire.
Credit Card Requirement
We respectfully ask all patients to supply a credit card number for us to keep on file. We take your security very seriously. All cards on file are added to the system via a secure electronic process that ensures the information is encrypted and remains secure. If you are not comfortable providing this information via telephone, you may call the office to schedule a same-day appointment subject to availability and provide your credit card information in person.
A “no show” is when a patient schedules an appointment and does not arrive at the appointment and does not communicate with our office.
In the event of a “no show” or cancellation with less than a 24-hour notice, a $50 cancellation fee will be applied to your card on file.
If you notify our office to reschedule or to cancel at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, you will NOT be charged this cancellation fee.
It is our pleasure to offer a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals as we understand that there may be unforeseen circumstances such as traffic that may cause you to arrive late to your appointment. We kindly ask that you notify us in such circumstances so that we may best accommodate you and our other patients. In the event of a late arrival, we will do our best to see you as soon as possible. Late arrivals may need to wait to be seen. We would not want you to wait for your appointment when you arrive on time because another patient arrived late. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, we may need to reschedule depending on our schedule. We appreciate your understanding.
